Fontana Villanella

Application is located in the Southern Apennine thrust belt, SW of the foredeep in the buried thrust front. There are two targets: (1) oil in structural traps of Cretaceous-Miocene Apulian platform carbonates and (2) Biogenic gas in structural-stratigraphic traps of Pliocene sands. Due to the complexity of the overlying allocthonous wedge, 3D seismic is needed to identify and properly develop prospects. The Celenza 2 well was drilled on the application area and had an oil show in the Apulian carbonates.
