Background
Application is in an underexplored area on the west side of the Cotignola anticline. Forest Oil, who had this area as the western half of the Massa Lombarda permit, mapped several Pliocene structural leads based on 2D seismic but did not drill any wells. Surrounding fields produced from Pliocene and Upper Miocene age reservoirs.
